Our most up-to-date training schedule appears on the homepage of our website, LiftHI.org. We are always working to add more training, so check the website regularly. We encourage you to apply at any time, even if there are no trainings currently listed! This will allow us to add you to the prospective trainee list then reach out to you once the next training is scheduled. You can apply here.

TRAINING
Do you “pay” people to train?
We “pay”, or really we offer “income replacement”, to our trainees so that they can leave their jobs and join our full-time training. This income replacement is offered at the end of each two-week period based on pre-agreed goals: trainees come on time, every day, are engaged and ready to learn.
TRAINING
Am I guaranteed a hospital nurse aide job if I successfully complete the training?
You are not guaranteed a job if you successfully complete the training, but you will receive priority job consideration at Hawai’i Pacific Health (HPH) hospitals. As part of the training, you will prepare a professional cover letter and resume and develop your interviewing skills. You will also learn how to successfully complete the HPH job application process.

What makes our training different?
We believe that there are many people in our community who can benefit from training-to-job pathways, but the way in which the training is typically structured (i.e. over longer periods of time, without income replacement) means they cannot take advantage of them. Our training removes a range of typical barriers and is enhanced with the life skills teachings that creates a solid foundation for success.

Who do you partner with to offer training?
Currently, Lift HI Foundation has one employer partner - Hawai’i Pacific Health (hawaiipacifichealth.org) - and one job training opportunity - hospital nurse aides. We are a start-up organization and we are very proud of this partnership and focus. But as we look to the future, we will seek to expand our offerings with HPH as well as other employer partners. If you are interested in partnering with us, please express your interest (click here). You can also email our Founder and President, Jennifer Meehan, at jmeehan@lifthi.org
